The 2012 Stapleford Park Shooting Championships

Wonderful sunshine and a very exciting shooting programme greeted the teams taking part in the 2012 Stapleford Park Shooting Championships; a day that supports LOROS. The shooting programme was organised by EJ Churchill, taking place across Lord Gretton's Stapleford Estate. Five drives of simulated game were set up with each team shooting in flurries. Shooting drives of simulated pheasant, grouse, partridge and rabbit the teams were suitably challenged.

The championships were won by Avery Healthcare, a team entered by John Strowbridge and skippered by the estate's new keeper, Scott Shuckford. The Top Individual Gun competition was won by Bob Franks, retaining his title from 2011.

Chauffeur driven Volvo C90s supplied by Sturgess Motor Group

The event was sponsored by The Sturgess Group who supplied each of the teams with a Volvo C90 and chauffeur for the day. The gun dog scurry was organised by Stewart North of Working Gun Dogs.
