The Prince's Trust Championships will promote networking and will also raise funds for The Prince’s Trust. The championships will include separate days of Golf, Car Rally, Shooting and Polo - concluding with an end-of-year Awards Dinner.

The 2010 Prince's Trust Sporting Championships

The Prince's Trust Championships have been created for thirty leading companies and private individuals in the East Midlands to come together in the spirit of friendly competition. Stapleford Park is working in partnership with The Prince’s Trust. Especially selected companies and private individuals are being invited to participate in the Championships Programme and to raise money for the charity. Places will be reserved on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis. Companies and individuals will be able to:

• Participate in a sporting championship programme of golf, cars & shooting
• Entertain top clients
• Compete against other leading companies from the East Midlands
• Network within their peer group
• Entertain clients at a Polo Tournament
• Attend an end-of-year Awards Dinner
• Raise funds for The Prince’s Trust

The Inaugural Dinner

Thursday 1st July 2010 | Stapleford Park Hotel

Sixty people for dinner in the Grinling Gibbons dining room at Stapleford Park, preceded by a champagne reception. The evening will be the opportunity for the entrants to meet and for the chairmen of the local counties to set out the programme and fund-raising aims for the benefit of The Prince’s Trust.

The Prince's Trust Shooting Championships

Wednesday 8th September 2010 | The Stapleford Park Estate

Thirty teams of 4 guns will shoot across the Stapleford Park Estate. Especially created drives of simulated game-shooting will be designed with each team shooting all drives simultaneously. The day will conclude with a champagne reception, late lunch, a raffle & auction for The Prince’s Trust and Prize-Giving. The winning team will receive The Prince's Trust Shooting Championships Trophy.

The Prince's Trust Golf Championships

Friday 8th October 2010 | Stapleford Park Golf Club

Thirty pairs of golfers will tee-off on the beautiful links course at Stapleford Park, designed by Donald Steel. The course was recently chosen by the European PGA Seniors Tour to host their newest tournament with the likes of Sam Torrance, Ian Woosnam, Sandy Lyle and Costantino Rocca competing. Players will play as a pair, but will be teamed up in 4-balls. Breakfast and lunch will be served in the club house and hotel respectively, followed by a champagne reception, a raffle & auction for The Prince’s Trust and Prize-Giving.

Friday 29th October 2010 | Stapleford Park Hotel

The thirty entrants will meet for a round-table lunch with a guest speaker - a leading professional sports personality.

 

The Prince's Trust Championships Awards Dinner

Friday 26th November 2010 | Grand Hall, Stapleford Park

One hundred and twenty guests will dine in the Grand Hall at Stapleford Park at an end-of-year Awards Dinner, at which the Victor Ludorum for the year will be awarded by a prominent guest speaker to the winning company, and rivalries will be re-set for the following year’s championships. Dinner will be followed with a raffle & auction for The Prince’s Trust.

The charity gives practical and financial support to 14-30 year olds, enabling them to develop skills that will help them move into education, employment or training. The charity helps youngsters to; improve motivation and attendance at school through a network of clubs; start-up in business with start-up loans and grants plus advice and support from a business mentor; give back to the community through financial awards to groups and individuals for community-based projects; overcome barriers and get their lives working with cash awards of between £50 and £500 and mentor support for those leaving care.
